Bihac is the centre of Una Sana Canton and one of the most important centers of Bosnia and Herzegovina's Northwest Region. It is the city of tumultuous history and rich cultural inheritance. We have built the image of open city, city of understanding and coexistence.
We have also built an identity of the city whose residents, attached to their river, care about her preservation. Consciousness on ecology is deeply rooted and the people from the banks of Una river live the life along with their river. And the river inspires artists for generations and bears new generations of painters, writers, musicians... That river raised ecology-conscious generations and obligated authorities to build development strategy based on natural resources preservation, stimulating development of eco-tourism and healthy food production.
Today, Bihac is the city with planned development, stimulating small and medium size entrepreneurship, as well as balanced economic growth of the region, inter-municipal and trans-border cooperation.
